Fabrizio was born in Milano (Italy) on February, 10th, 1981. He was awarded a 5-year master of science degree in computer engineering at Politecnico di Milano on July, 25th, 2012 with a thesis entitled “Design and implementation on FPGA of an hardware interface for network communication using TCP/IP protocol”. He also obtained the FIBA Certified Coach License (August, 2014), the Italian National Coach License (July, 2011) and the Italian National Instructor for children (July, 2008). He was awarded of a Certificate of Merit for city recognition from Mayor L. Barzaghi, in Nova Milanese, Italy (May, 2011)

Fabrizio was a research fellow since 2013 and become the ICT development manager of 3D Survey Group. From 2013 to 2017 he had a fellowship entitled “Spire3D – The WEBBIM: implementation of a modular visualization for the management of complex 3D objects and creation of new software for interfacing of existing 3D modelling software with rational databases and the web” at ABC Department of Politecnico di Milano. From 2017 he has a fellowship entitled “3D-WEBBIM Umm al-Dabadib”, at ABC Department of Politecnico di Milano, inside the L.I.F.E. project, ERC Consolidator Grant 2015. Since 1999 he also works as a basketball coach; since 2008 he also works as a promoter of sports holydays. Since 2013 he also works as a freelance in ICT consulting.

His research mainly focuses on the conception and the development of innovative system for managing of 3D models, using BIM for cultural heritage (architectural and archaeological case of study), dissemination of the data collected, using 3D inside web, virtual reality and user interaction, museum installation. His research leads to a Italian Patent Pending (MI2014A002016) and many publications.

The WEBBIM and the BIM3DSG systems, developed inside his research, are used in most project of 3D Survey Group, for example Milan Cathedral, San Marco in Venice, SMART Culture, L.I.F.E @ Umm al-Dabadib and may others. These systems are also used inside some course and training of 3D Survey Group.
