Cultural Heritage: from digital model to the real one, Duomo’s Main Spire 3D printing. Drones and environmental survey.

During the Made Expo exhibition, which occurred from the 18th to 21st of March in Rho Fiera pavilions in Milano, the group has presented some photogrammetric and laser scanner survey’s works about prestigious buildings that belong to the historical and architectonical heritage.         One of the presented elaborations is the survey and the modelling of Duomo’s Main Spire, realized for the management of the restoration site.

During the fair, different parts of the Spire’s model were also printed in 1:10 scale, with the collaboration of Kloner 3D company.

They also shown the drone’s use for architectonical, archaeological, environmental and territorial survey in big scale; these activities were carried on with the technological partner NewTread.

The 3DSurvey Group operators are SAPR pilot and ENAC identified, and they are able to flight with UAV instrumentation, for experimental activities according to the actual ENAC rules.
